Sorry, icedtea is a neat/easy way to build Open JDK...&nbsp; Unfortunately
it requires gcj with the generics extension...&nbsp; That's the part I was
unable to get working.&nbsp; On an x86 box it builds very easily...<br>

I am hoping when Aurora reach Fedora 7 - it will just be simple to
do...&nbsp; As Fedora 7 x86 works with icedtea - no issues...<br>

420R (4x 450MHz, 4GB mem) and I had to wipe it and install Solaris 10
so I
could move up to JDK 5.&nbsp; I have noticed a huge difference in speed and
responsiveness.&nbsp; Solaris 10 drags @$$.&nbsp; I wish Sun would go ahead and
release Java in a self-bootstrapping form&#8230; But I understand perfectly
well why they are not in a hurry.&nbsp; I suspect that the biggest reason
people actually use Solaris is simply because that is the only way they
can run
