[Aurora-sparc-user] Can't get Gnome working properly ...

Hi All.

I've got an old Ultra 10 that I thought might be fun to play with...

I've installed Aurora v2.0 (originally tried v2.99, but it won't install).
It all goes swimmingly until I'm prompted for a login.

If I log in as root, I get a desktop. It all works wonders (except that
the box crashes if I try to log out)

If I try to log in as a non-root user, the screen goes blank and the box
crashes.

Any idea where I start debugging this?
