Yes, they are really chaotic at the moment, and for that, I apologize.

Most of my time and energy has gone into Fedora lately, as I'm now
working on that full-time for Red Hat. Dennis Gilmore and I have been
putting spare-time resources into building SPARC infrastructure for
Fedora, with the (optimistic) goal of enabling Fedora 9 SPARC. Dennis
has a Koji builder, and we have some Fedora 9 level packages built. Java
is causing us a lot of pain in this area, but we're working on it (and
in some cases, hacking around it).

This week (as soon as I get back into Boston), my plan is to continue
working on sparc64 kernel configs, so that we can incorporate the
changes into the main Fedora kernel cvs. This will mean that future
kernels generated by Fedora should be as simple as a rebuild on sparc64.

Eventually, the plan is still to do a final Aurora 3.0 release based on
FC-6, but given the relative stability of the last 2.99 spin (the only
major failure bugs were around ipv6 during install and niagara hardware
not working correctly), it may just get promoted to 3.0 so that we can
refocus entirely on Fedora SPARC.
