Yeah, unfortunately, none of that code exists, and it isn't simple to
put together.
What I would do in this case is get 2.98 (or if that fails, 2.0)
installed, update everything to corona, then try to reboot into the
corona kernel. It should fail exactly the same way as it does in
anaconda, and we'd get more debugging, and be able to pass module
options to esp in a far simpler manner.
