[Aurora-sparc-user] Fwd: Anyone managed to boot from the CD on an SS20?

Torbjørn,

Do a text install. The graphical install did start, but my mouse
cursor was inoperative, also it was very slow. Using the text
installer, my X config was fine. I let the partitioner set-up my
disks with LVM, so I had best use of space.

If you get the option to use a non-Gnome environment, then do. I will
re-install and go for something lighter.

Lastly, you may want to have some tea and snacks ready, for the long install.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Chris.
