Well then, the plan of attack would definitely be to try another distro 
first just to confirm it's not aurora-specific. Next would be disabling swap 
as suggested [use a rescue cd to edit fstab first] to at least try and get 
the system up. Check the logs and dmesg, etc, once you're in and let us know 
if you find anything.
