Oh yeah, I probably should have remembered to include that... the debian
[etch] installer hangs after "install -p fb=true" at:

Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20

I believe this is the known OBP error handling cdrom booting that you
guys have fixed whilst debian hasn't. I'll try a net boot in a minute.
