I just speak for myself in saying the company had some antiquated
hardware sitting around (ultra 10s) and I needed some guinea pigs to
test scripts on.  I didn't want to write them with Solaris just to have
to port them to Linux when done, and when I started Aurora was the only
"living" Linux Sparc option.

I've found it to be extremely stable and very functional.  Solaris is
inferior anyway!

I'm just curious what most people use linux for on a SPARC?  I'd like to
run some programs to feel the difference from a x86 CPU, any way to
notice the differences with having a RISC for a change?
