I'm late in the game and have been quiet for the last months due to too
much going on at home (we're moving house soon...), but here's my
EUR0.02 anyway...

Given the current situation, I can understand that sparc32 support is
dropped - even I have shrunk my collection and the only sun4m remaining
are a SS10 and a SS20. Nonetheless, it's a real pity to see this support
got - originally, Linux was the only non-Sun OS to support both CPUs in
my SS20, which was nice. When Aurora stopped supporting SMP due to
kernel problems, the SS20 fell into disuse (the SS10 is my scanner
server, running OpenBSD...). I'll just have to decide what to do with it
now - maybe give NetBSD a spin... :-}

On the other hand, if this change would bring about even more
performance on my sparc64s, I'd be very happy, too! ;-)

Cheerio,

Thomas
