nptl is only available if you have glibc.sparcv9  otherwise  you have the old  
linuxthreads.  to test your threading model run 

getconf GNU_LIBPTHREAD_VERSION

you should see something like
NPTL 2.3.6

if you have glibc.sparc installed  you will get something telling you the 
version of LinuxThreads you are running

corona  has NPTL on all glibc's
