[Aurora-sparc-user] Kernel panic when installing on SS10

Hi all,

I still haven't succeeded in installing Aurora 2.0 on my SS10 - the
install always fails in the same spot: right after installing
glibc-common, the machine hangs and then produces a kernel panic (the
last message is "Aiee, killing interrupt handler").

It's a Solair WS19L[0] SparcStation 10 clone with 80MB, one SM61 cpu and
a 1GB internal HD. All attempts have been in text mode (I had no
intention of trying GUI on a machine with those specs...). I've chosen
the minimal package selection and the installs were performed both via
null-modem cable (i.e. serial console) and with keyboard/monitor. I've
also tried two different CD-ROM drives, one oldish Toshiba I once
removed from my U60 and a newer no-name 24x drive. CD 1 was tested twice
using the test in the installer and passed. The same CD was also used to
install my U2 without problems.

Any suggestions? I'm all ears...

Cheerio,

Thomas
