down on what the Aurora project wants with sparc64 variants...]


well, there is a build issue here, probably related to sparc64 ish lib64 missing

** built new /var/tmp/ncurses-root/usr/share/terminfo
ln: creating symbolic link `/var/tmp/ncurses-root/usr/lib/terminfo' to
`../share/terminfo': No such file or directory
** could not sym-link /var/tmp/ncurses-root/usr/lib/terminfo for compatibility

I manually, before the packaging was done, made the appropriate
symbolic link in /var/tmp/ncurses-root/usr/lib64/terminfo as ln -s
../share/terminfo

and

anyhow, I rpmbuilt ncurses as sparc64 variant package:

CC='gcc -m64' CXX='g++ -m64' rpmbuild --rebuild ncurses-5.4-13.src.rpm
--target=sparc64

furthermore, there's file conflicts, such as:

# rpm -ivh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/sparc64/ncurses-devel-5.4-13.sparc64.rpm
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/sparc64/ncurses-5.4-13.sparc64.rpm
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
     file /usr/share/terminfo/l/linux from install of ncurses-5.4-13
conflicts with file from package ncurses-5.4-13
     file /usr/share/terminfo/l/linux-m from install of ncurses-5.4-13
conflicts with file from package ncurses-5.4-13

but, I simply installed, for now, using --force for the
ncurses.sparc64 package...
