File that under "random proximity factor".  After I got 1.0 installed, I 
shoved the 2.0 DVD back in the drive and tried again.  Son of a gun, it 
booted.  It's installing now.  I don't know how many times I tried it 
before, cleaning off the DVD, reburning it, etc. even switching from DVD 
to CD and it was the same problem every time.  Now it works.  *shrug*
